12 Best Arcades In Bugis | Claw Machines & Game Spots

Best Arcades In Bugis

There is a very specific sound I love.

It is the sound of an arcade on a Friday night. Music games thumping. Racing engines roaring. Someone shouting because they just won a giant plushie. Someone else groaning because the claw dropped it, again. Coins, tokens, laughter, all mixed together.

Bugis, it turns out, is full of that sound.

Between Bugis+, Bugis Junction and Bugis Street, you can spend a whole afternoon moving from rhythm games to claw machines to escape rooms without ever getting on a train. And if you walk a little further, there is even more waiting for you at Suntec, Marina Square and Selegie Road.

Arcades are not just for kids. They are for anyone who has ever wanted to feel ten years old again, even just for an hour.

So here are my 12 favourite arcades and game spots in and around Bugis. I have included what each place is best for, what it costs, and the little things I wish someone had told me before my first visit. Every spot on this list was checked as open in October 2026.

Arcades & Claw Machines in Bugis

1. Paco FunWorld & Prize Station, Bugis+

Paco FunWorld and Prize Station arcade at Bugis+

If you only visit one arcade in Bugis, make it this one.

Paco FunWorld and its Prize Station sit side by side on Level 3 of Bugis+, and together they feel like a proper old-school arcade. Rows of claw machines line the front, some filled with plushies so big they barely fit inside. Walk further in and you will find racing games, rhythm games, shooting games and a few redemption games that spit out tickets.

The first time I came, I meant to stay for twenty minutes. I left two hours later with sore arms from Taiko drums and absolutely no plushie. Worth it.

  • What’s there: giant-plushie claw machines, Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6RR racing, Mario Kart Arcade GP, maimai DX, CHUNITHM and Taiko no Tatsujin rhythm games, Pac-Man Battle Royale, GunBullet X and redemption games
  • Price: claw machines about $1 to $2 a play. Rhythm and racing games take about 3 tokens a play.
  • Hours: daily from 11am to 11pm, open later on Fridays and Saturdays
  • Address: Bugis+, 201 Victoria Street, Level 3 (#03-22 to #03-26)

My tip: the giant plushies look amazing, but the smaller prizes in the same machines are much easier to win. Start small.

2. Virtualand, Bugis+

Virtualand rhythm and arcade games at Bugis+

Virtualand is where the serious players go. And I say that with love.

Up on Level 5 of Bugis+, opposite the Golden Village cinema, Virtualand is packed with Japanese rhythm games you will not easily find elsewhere in Singapore. Dance games, drum games, guitar games, button-mashing games. Watching the regulars play is honestly a show in itself. Their hands move faster than I can blink.

But do not be scared off. Many games have easier modes, and nobody judges a beginner. I tried Taiko no Tatsujin, the drum game, and had the time of my life being terrible at it.

  • What’s there: beatmania IIDX, DanceDanceRevolution, CHUNITHM, maimai DX, GITADORA (guitar and drums), jubeat, SOUND VOLTEX, Nostalgia and Taiko no Tatsujin, plus Initial D, Wangan Midnight 6RR, House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn and BishiBashi
  • Price: most games cost $1.20 to $3 a play. You need an arcade card, which costs $1 to register and is loaded with cash.
  • Hours: Mon–Thu 11:30am–10pm, Fri–Sat 11am–11pm, Sun 11am–10pm
  • Address: Bugis+, 201 Victoria Street, #05-04/06

My tip: weekdays are the time to go. It is calmer, you will not have to wait for the popular machines, and Virtualand has run weekday double-credit deals before. Ask at the counter.

3. Fun Claw, Bugis Junction

Fun Claw claw machines at Bugis Junction

Fun Claw is a whole space for nothing but claw machines, and the Bugis Junction outlet is a cheerful little stop in the middle of a shopping day.

The prizes change often. Plushies, keychains, character toys, and Fun Claw’s own exclusive designs. Some prizes come with a hidden Fun Card, which you can scan in the Funclaw app to collect points and redeem bigger prizes. It adds a lovely little surprise to every win.

  • What’s there: standard and mini claw machines, exclusive plushies, and Fun Cards for bonus points
  • Price: $10 for 12 tokens, and most machines are 1 token a play (about $0.83)
  • Hours: daily, 10am to 10pm
  • Address: Bugis Junction, 200 Victoria Street, #03-24C

I wrote a full guide with prices, tips and machine rentals in my Fun Claw Bugis Junction article.

4. Fun Claw, Bugis+

Fun Claw claw machines at Bugis+

Yes, there are two Fun Claws in Bugis. The second outlet is just across the road in Bugis+, which makes it perfect for a little claw-machine crawl. If the machines at Bugis Junction are not being kind to you, walk over the link bridge and try your luck here.

  • What’s there: claw machines with Fun Claw’s rotating prizes and Fun Cards
  • Price: same token system as Bugis Junction
  • Address: Bugis+, 201 Victoria Street (check the mall directory for the exact unit)

My tip: visit both outlets and compare. Prizes are often different, and a fresh machine can feel like a fresh start.

5. Pick A Prize, Bugis Street

Pick A Prize mini claw machines at Bugis Street

Pick A Prize is a hidden little gem upstairs in Bugis Street, and it is adorable.

It specialises in tiny claw machines filled with tiny prizes. Mini plushies, little figurines, small keychains, many of them imported from Japan, including Mofusand and Bandai characters. Walking in feels a little like stepping into a corner of Tokyo. There are standard-sized claw machines too.

And here is the best part: once you have won at least three small prizes, you can exchange them for something bigger.

  • What’s there: mini claw machines, Japanese collectibles and keychains, plus a prize-exchange system
  • Price: from $1.50 a play
  • Hours: daily, around 2pm to 10pm
  • Address: Bugis Street, 3 New Bugis Street, Level 2 (#02-CSLD10 and #02-CYSL01)

My tip: it opens in the afternoon, so do not head there first thing in the morning. Combine it with an evening wander around Bugis Street.

Game Spots in Bugis (When You Want Something Different)

6. Xcape, Bugis Village

Xcape escape room experience at Bugis Village

Not an arcade, exactly, but if you love games, Xcape is a must.

Xcape is one of Singapore’s best-known escape room companies, and its Bugis Village outlet has a whole range of themed rooms. Some are mysterious, some are fun, and some are properly scary. You and your friends get locked in a room and have 60 minutes to solve puzzles, find clues and break out.

I did one with three friends and we escaped with about two minutes to spare. I have never felt so proud of being so confused.

  • Rooms: Azkaban, Busan Express, Confession, Joker, The Doll, Unseen, Wizardry Bank, plus the premium Legacy of Arthur and The Purge Day
  • Price: $29.90 per person off-peak and $35.90 peak. The premium rooms cost $39.90 and $45.90.
  • Hours: opens 11am daily. The last game starts at 10pm (Sun–Thu) or 11:30pm (Fri–Sat).
  • Address: Bugis Village, 161 Rochor Road

My tip: students get $6 off per person after 6pm with a physical student card. And if you have 8 or more people, check the 8-for-the-price-of-7 group deal.

7. Battle Bunker, Bugis+

Battle Bunker tabletop gaming store and play space at Bugis+

Battle Bunker is a tabletop gaming store and play space on Level 3 of Bugis+, very close to Paco FunWorld. It is the place for board games, card games and tabletop battles. You can rent games, bring your own, or join the regulars who come for leagues and tournaments.

It is a lovely break from the noise of the arcades. Quieter, more thoughtful, and very friendly to beginners who just want to try something new.

  • What’s there: board games, card games, tabletop games, a games shop, and regular community events
  • Price: play area rates of around $10, depending on the option you choose
  • Hours: daily from 12pm, closing time varies
  • Address: Bugis+, 201 Victoria Street, #03-16/17

My tip: if you are new to board games, ask the staff to recommend something easy. They love helping beginners.

8. Fuzzies, Arab Street

Fuzzies cat cafe and gaming space on Arab Street

This one is a little bit of a cheat, but I could not leave it out. Fuzzies is a cat café on Arab Street, about ten minutes’ walk from Bugis MRT, and upstairs there are Nintendo Switch games and board games.

So yes, you can play Mario Kart with your friends while a fluffy cat naps next to you. I cannot think of a better way to spend a rainy afternoon.

  • What’s there: resident cats, Nintendo Switch, board games
  • Price: from $8 per hour on weekdays and $12 per hour on weekends
  • Hours: daily, 11am to 11pm
  • Address: 92 Arab Street, #03-01/02

My tip: children must be 7 years old or above, and booking ahead is a good idea on weekends.

9. HaveFun Karaoke, Bugis Cube

HaveFun Karaoke private singing rooms at Bugis Cube

Okay, karaoke is not an arcade. But it belongs on any list of fun things to play in Bugis, and HaveFun at Bugis Cube is one of the cheapest and most fun nights out in the area.

  • What’s there: private karaoke rooms for 2 to 25 people, around 150,000 songs, and a VVIP room with a billiard table
  • Price: from $5++ per person per hour on weekday afternoons (check in before 5:30pm) until 30 November 2026
  • Hours: Sun–Fri 11:30am to 3am, Sat and eve of public holidays 11:30am to 4am
  • Address: Bugis Cube, 470 North Bridge Road, #06-00

Arcades a Short Walk From Bugis

10. Cow Play Cow Moo, Suntec City

Cow Play Cow Moo arcade at Suntec City

When the Bugis arcades start closing for the night, Cow Play Cow Moo is still going strong.

Its flagship in Suntec City is huge, with hundreds of claw machines, a giant claw, coin pushers and one of the best rhythm-game line-ups in Singapore. And it stays open until 1am. It is about a 12 to 15 minute walk from Bugis, or a short MRT ride to Promenade or Esplanade.

  • What’s there: hundreds of claw machines, a giant claw, coin pushers, and rhythm games including beatmania IIDX, DanceDanceRevolution, GITADORA, maimai DX, CHUNITHM, SOUND VOLTEX, pop’n music, Pump It Up and Taiko
  • Price: claw machines from about $1 a play. Rhythm games need a $1 member card.
  • Hours: Mon–Fri 11am to 1am, Sat–Sun 10am to 1am
  • Address: Suntec City, 3 Temasek Boulevard, North Wing, Hall B, B1

My tip: this is my go-to after a late dinner in Bugis. Walk over, play until midnight, and take a taxi home.

11. Timezone, Marina Square

Timezone arcade and games at Marina Square

Timezone is the arcade most of us grew up with, and the Marina Square outlet is the closest one to Bugis. It is bright, family-friendly and easy, with arcade games, claw machines, music games and VR.

You load credits onto a Timezone Powercard, play games to win tickets, and swap them for prizes at the Prize Shop. Kids love it. So do I, honestly.

  • What’s there: arcade and retro games, claw machines, music games, VR (including Ultra Moto VR), and a Prize Shop
  • Price: pay with a Timezone Powercard, which works at every Timezone in Singapore. Check the counter or app for current credit packages.
  • Hours: Mon–Thu 11am to 9pm; Fri–Sun, public holidays and school holidays 11am to 10pm
  • Address: Marina Square, 6 Raffles Boulevard, #02-213

My tip: look out for Timezone promotions before you top up. They often run deals on credits and special games.

12. LOST SG, GR.iD

LOST SG cinematic escape rooms at GR.iD on Selegie Road

If Xcape gets you hooked on escape rooms, LOST SG is your next stop. It is at GR.iD on Selegie Road, about a 10-minute walk from Bugis, and its rooms feel like walking onto a movie set. Fog machines, dramatic lighting, beautifully built sets.

  • Rooms: Alcatraz 2.0 (prison break), Aokigahara 2.0 (Japan’s Sea of Trees, the spooky one), Castiglione 2.0, Exodus 2.0 and Mausoleum 2.0 (the most beginner-friendly)
  • Price: $23.90 per person on weekday off-peak (10am to 5:30pm), $29.90 at peak times. Kids 6 and under go free with a paying adult.
  • Hours: daily from 10am. The last game starts around 9:30pm.
  • Address: GR.iD, 1 Selegie Road, #B1-03/04

My tip: it is cashless, so bring a card or use PayNow or GrabPay. And if you are a pair, pick Mausoleum or Castiglione, because the other rooms need at least three players.

My Bugis Arcade Crawl: A Perfect Afternoon

Want to do it all in one go? Here is my favourite route.

  1. 2pm, Fun Claw Bugis Junction (Level 3): warm up with a few claw tries.
  2. 2:45pm, walk across to Bugis+: try Fun Claw Bugis+, then head to Paco FunWorld & Prize Station on Level 3 for racing and claw games.
  3. 4pm, Virtualand (Level 5): try a rhythm game or two. Taiko is the best for beginners.
  4. 5pm, coffee break: rest your arms at one of my favourite cafés in Bugis.
  5. 6pm, Pick A Prize at Bugis Street: hunt for tiny Japanese prizes.
  6. 7pm, dinner: find something delicious from my guide on what to eat at Bugis.
  7. 9pm onwards: walk to Cow Play Cow Moo at Suntec City, which is open until 1am.

My Arcade Tips for Bugis

  • Set a budget first: arcades are designed to make “one more try” feel very reasonable. Decide your limit before you top up.
  • Go on weekdays: shorter queues for the popular machines, and some arcades run weekday deals.
  • Each arcade has its own card or tokens: Virtualand, Cow Play Cow Moo and Timezone all use their own cards, and Fun Claw uses its own tokens. They do not work across brands.
  • Bring some cash: a few arcade cards and token machines are cash-only, while escape rooms like LOST SG are fully cashless. Carry both.
  • Watch before you play: on claw machines, watch someone else play first. On rhythm games, start on the easiest level.
  • Check hours before late visits: closing times vary a lot, from 9pm to 1am.

My Final Note

I used to think arcades were something you grew out of. Bugis proved me wrong.

There is something so freeing about losing yourself in a silly drum game, screaming at a claw machine, or racing your best friend on a pretend highway. For an hour, nothing else matters. Not work, not emails, not the to-do list waiting at home.

So next time you are in Bugis with an afternoon to spare, skip the shopping for once. Go and play. Win something small, lose something silly, and laugh about it all the way home.

That is what Bugis is all about for me. Good food, good company, and no rush.
